The Fourth Installment of Jacky Faber:
Wanted for piracy in England, Jacky flees to the States to avoid detection. She goes back to school at Miss Pimm's and reunites with her old schoolmates. But the Crown is offering 250 pounds for her head, and it's only a matter of time before the word makes it to Boston. Unfortunately, before Jacky can be claimed by the British, she and nearly all her well-bred classmates are captured aboard a slaving ship, prisoners destined to be sold in Northern Africa.
Still well done, but there is one chapter that involves the tired storyline of a dream sequence. Not okay, and the author should know better. I was thoroughly disgusted; when you read the book, skip the chapter that begins when they spot another ship on the horizon.
