Slow Death by Rubber Duck: the secret danger of everyday things

How is it possible that the incredibly toxic chemicals we encounter every day are still legal? Not only legal, but widely used in health and beauty products, baby bottles, food, and toys...

Truth is, the FDA can only regulate substances that have been proven to be harmful (similar to the US justice system, in which you are innocent until proven guilty). Without studies to prove harm, the substances are still considered safe. And the industries reliant on these chemicals are doing everything in their political power to keep longitudinal studies from being funded that will uncover these negative health effects.

I recommend everyone read this, even if you'd rather keep your head in the sand and believe that American businesses are looking out for their consumers.
