"Sixteen-year-old Valerie, whose boyfriend Nick committed a school shooting at the end of their junior year, struggles to cope with integrating herself back into high school life, unsure herself whether she was a hero or a villain." (Library of Congress summary)Meh. Very contemporary and interesting plotline, but I couldn't get very drawn in to the characters.
But it made the ALA's 2010 Best Books for Young Adults, so it works for a lot of people. But you all know I'm a tough sell and very picky...what can I say?
