I had such high hopes for this book. The author is a professor at UPenn, and he uses sociological information from his students to analyze the the five Ws of the younger party scene in Philadelphia. Who they are, what they do when they go out, where they go to party or eat out, when they go, and why it's such a big deal...
Unfortunately it reads like a dissertation that was painfully stretched out to make a full-length book. What should be self-explanatory is explained in detail, and topics that could have been further researched are merely skimmed. I couldn't finish it.
